DOES YOUR VEHICLE HAVE A BASIC RADIO OR THE FACELIFT OPTION?

BASIC RADIO

If your motorhome has a flat single DIN head unit and
a pocket directly above this then this is classed as a
basic radio head unit. This is usually only seen in
standard Fiat Ducato MK3 (06-14) models but can also
exist in later models.

OUR SOLUTION
Installing a double DIN head unit is relatively simple.
Use the Citroen, Fiat, Peugeot adapter panel (50-735)
with the 113mm cage supplied with your head unit, if
you need the cage we can also supply this, product
code ( 51-013)

 

FACELIFT RADIO

 

If your motorhome has a slightly curved fascia with a gloss black finish (pictured) it is more than likely fitted with the facelift option. These are usually seen in MK3 facelift models from 2011 onwards.

OUR SOLUTION

We have 3 different options to convert this to a double DIN, all vary in shape and fitting. Please see the next section for a breakdown of these solutions. 

It is worth checking which facelift radio option Is in the vehicle. Each have slight variations in shape, size and fitting style.

STEP 1: MEASURE THE CURVE OF THE OEM FASCIA

The first way to identify which fascia type you need is to measure (in MM) the curve along the left-hand side of the Original head unit. Please remember you are only measuring from the top of the Gloss Black fascia to where it separates from the other control unit. This is represented in the picture (left) by the red line.

DOES IT MATCH ANY OF THESE?

For extra assurance you can also measure along the top of the gloss black section of the fascia. This should also be slightly on the curve.

STEP 2: CHECK HOW THE OEM FASCIA IS FITTED

Carefully remove the original (OEM) Gloss Black fascia panel away from the original head unit. Once loose turn the fascia sideways and look at the way it is originally fitted. If needed take a few measurements similar to the ones pictured above.

STEP 3: OUR FITTING SOLUTIONS

50-838 Fiat Ducato Citroen Relay Peugeot Boxer 2011 > double DIN fascia with cage GLOSS BLACK Designed for Fiat, Citroen and Peugeot vehicles with MK3 facelift interior. The kit is designed to replace the metal cage which is normally supplied with the new head-unit. This fascia kit contains a metal cage, trim and all necessary fixings.

50-838-S Fiat Ducato Citroen Relay Peugeot Boxer Flush Fit Shiny Black This double DIN fascia kit is designed to fit Fiat Ducato MK3, Citroen Relay and Peugeot Boxer 3 vehicles with the MK3 facelift interior, allowing the installation of an aftermarket double DIN head unit. This fascia kit comes complete with side fixing brackets as pictured so no cage is required upon installation.
