Due to COVID-19, holidays overseas are off the cards. This doesn’t mean you cannot have fun in the UK, though. Here are three places you should consider visiting:

Amesbury

Amesbury is a gorgeous town located near the famous Stonehenge. If you are visiting for more than one day I would recommend staying in the George Hotel as it is situated on High Street so you are in the perfect location. The hotel itself is very historic and was built in the 13th century, as you can imagine it is very traditional and subsequently a very cosy and relaxing place to stay. There is a lot to see and do nearby Amesbury, as mentioned you have Stonehenge but you also have Salisbury which is a historic town. These places are a small drive away so make sure you have arranged cheap car hire for your stay. Make sure you are well-rested and prepared for your trip, including checking over the vehicle, ensuring you are hydrated, and making certain your lenses are right for your glasses while on the road too. Visit this website for help with the latter.

You can’t go to Amesbury without visiting the nearby Stonehenge. The spectacular site was estimated to be built in 3100 BC and apparently took over thirty million hours of work to construct. The River Avon is situated in the middle of the town of Amesbury so if you want a relaxing and serene walk this is the perfect location. You can sit by the river banks and watch the world go by in complete peace and quiet. It is the perfect way to start off your day or even wind it down. Nearby the river is Bonny Mead Park and this is a stunning area which is loved by adults and the younger generation alike. It is also used by Amesbury Town Football Club as well as Amesbury Cricket Club, so if you are a fan of sport and fancy observing the local talent whilst relaxing in the luscious green area, look no further.

Bracknell

Bracknell is an attractive and pleasant town which is only five miles away from one of the United Kingdom’s most impressive and unique theme parks; Legoland. The theme park truly is one of a kind and there is no way you will gain an experience like it anywhere else in the whole of the United Kingdom. There are over fifty rides, as well as live shows, driving schools and building workshops. The fun is merely endless and a day simply won’t seem long enough.

Whilst staying in Bracknell, I would recommend checking yourself into the Grange Bracknell hotel. The hotel offers free parking so there will be somewhere for you to park your car. The rooms in the hotel are beautifully decorated and are very spacious. It is the perfect place to relax after a fun-filled trip to Legoland.

However, if theme parks really are not your thing do not worry as there is a lot more to do in and around Bracknell. Ascot Racecourse is only a few miles away. Ascot racecourse is famous for its unique racecourse and spectacular day out. Tradition, fashion, patriotism, and of course fabulous horse racing is on offer in profusion.

Bracknell really is located in the perfect place to visit some remarkable attractions that are well known worldwide. Stay in the gorgeous Grange Bracknell hotel and make sure you visit the wonderful places Bracknell has to offer. If you have children then Legoland is an absolute must, and whether you are a fan of horse racing or not, a visit to Ascot will be like something you have never experienced before.

Keighley

Keighley is a lovely town situated in West Yorkshire. There are a lot of things to do and see in the area, and that is often the trouble, as people who have never been before often find trouble deciding what is best. Therefore, to help you out here is a little guide to Keighley informing you on what not to miss, what you need, and the best place to stay in the area.

WHAT NOT TO MISS

The Bronte Parsonage Museum is about four miles from the centre of Keighley and with the Bronte sisters being some of the greatest and most famous authors in Britain and the world you can rest assured that it is well worth a visit. The museum was once the place where Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre were written so you can imagine the wealth of history it possesses. You can even see the writing desks that belonged to the sisters as they are on constant display. Please bear in mind that you are not allowed to take any photos or videos inside.

WHERE TO STAY

The Craiglands Hotel is simply majestic and a high percentage of those who have stayed there tend to come back again on a frequent basis. The hotel is simply stunning, with its huge Victorian building and gorgeous mature grounds. The lounge bar and restaurant are lovely and comfy as well and you will enjoy spending time there.
