The most important distinctive advantages of LaserTrack Flare

Proven reliability

The unique all-in-one LaserTrack Flare system has been extensively tested during numerous road tests. Obviously, the product complies with the highest European directives and legal requirements in the field of safety, sustainability and quality.
Virtually invisible mounting of the front- and rear transponders.

The exceptionally compact front transponder can be mounted virtually invisibly in your vehicle's grille by a specialist, regardless whether you need one or two or perhaps even three. With the patented design for the rear transponder, we even introduce world-class news! Never before did a manufacturer of similar equipment succeed in integrating a transponder in the licence plate frame. An absolute must for anyone who doesn't want to violate his vehicle design! The rear transponder is delivered, completely installed, in the licence plate frame.

Inconspicuous mounting of the display in your vehicle interior.

The minimal display of LaserTrack Flare, again the smallest of its kind by far, ensures timely audible and visual alerts in your car and is designed neutrally, yet stylishly. Optionally the display can be positioned completely out of sight inside an existing space in the dashboard.

Features

Easy to install

The LaserTrack Flare transponders make use of a network-protocol and are interconnected. As such they are really easy to install by one of the specialised LaserTrack Flare-dealers. This saves a significant amount of time and costs.

Other distinctive advantages of LaserTrack Flare.

The smallest, fastest and most robust transponders in the world. Each transponder has its own 32bit 180MHz processor for unrivalled performance.

Highly sophisticated lens systems with IR pass filters, developed in collaboration with leading optical specialists. In combination with special internal reflectors, these lens systems guarantee maximum light amplification and an optimal aperture angle for the receiver of the transponder.

The transponder casings were made by use of a thermal casting process which, for instance, ensures complete waterproofing and vibration resistance under the most extreme circumstances.

Easily updateable via the web application by use of the SD card.

Different system settings can be selected by the user via our web application.

LaserTrack Flare: based on infrared laser technology

Infrared laser systems with a wavelength (frequency) of 904 nanometres, reused on a worldwide scale for measuring distance and speed, because of their exceptionally narrow beam and high degree of insensitivity to atmospheric circumstances. The advantage of an exceptionally narrow beam, the laser beam, is that an object, for instance a car, can be ‘pointed at’ with great precision at a distance of hundreds of meters. This way, within a fraction of a second, distance and speed can be measured. This is all done entirely invisibly as the infrared beam cannot be identified by the human eye. The best known laser systems are the laser guns used by the police to carry out speed enforcement.

LaserTrack Flare: flawless distinction between different laser systems

The highly sophisticated and ultra-compact LaserTrack Flare is, for reasons of integrity, equipped with the same technology as that which is applied in the police laser guns, offering you, as a user, a great advantage. The system makes a flawless distinction between the signals of its own remote control-transponders, the many laser-safety devices* and alternatively the police laser guns.

Contributing to a comfortable and pleasant way of driving

Opening the gate of your garden or garage door is done fully automatically by LaserTrack Flare. You do not even need to push a button! As soon as your car comes within reach of the garden gate or garage door, the necessary access code is exchanged automatically and the gate or door will swing open. For safety reasons, the system makes use of more than 4 billion codes and up to 50 different vehicles, each with their own code, can be programmed into the system.

En route LaserTrack Flare recognises other road users using laser-safety devices without giving notification. LaserTrack Flare does not interfere with these safety devices. Whether or not the speed readings of police laser guns are detected or even prevented, depends on the settings selected by the user.

Remote control

Ex-factory, the LaserTrack Flare functions exclusively as a remote control. This mode is allowed anywhere in the world. An audible and visual warning on the display indicate that the remote control-mode is active.

Laser speed trap detection-mode

This mode is allowed to be used virtually anywhere in the world. Please bear in mind that this mode is not substantially protective. A laser gun needs less than half a second to measure the speed of a vehicle. If LaserTrack Flare alerts you in such a case, there is no time left to correct your speed. An audible and visual warning on the display indicate that the laser speed trap detection-mode is active.

Laser speed trap protection-mode

This mode is not allowed in most European countries. If the protection mode is activated, it is important to be aware that the protection against the police laser gun is of a temporary nature. This should give you enough time to, if necessary, adjust your speed. An audible and visual warning on the display indicate that the laser speed trap protection-mode is active and, as such, no laser gun speed reading can be performed.

The multifunctional and obviously 100% legal LaserTrack Flare contributes to a comfortable and more relaxed way of driving, due to its compact size, the sleek designed transponders and high-end technology. This specifically applies to the sporty driver.

Configuration

Laser protection at the front of your vehicle

  • Minimum protection: licence plate only 1 transponder
  • Advised protection: optimally divided between licence plate and headlights 2 transponders
  • Maximum protection: maximum protection of licence plate and headlights 3 transponders

Laser protection at the rear of your vehicle

  • Minimum and advised protection: 1 transponder in the centre of the license plate frame
  • Maximum protection: 2 transponders at both outer edges of the licence plate frame.

Is LaserTrack Flare legal?

LaserTrack Flare complies with all European directives for infrared laser technology. Therefore the system is permitted anywhere in the world as a remote control and as a laser detector. The deliberate influencing or disruption of laser speed guns is not permitted everywhere. Prior to selecting the desired mode on our web application, make sure disruption of police laser guns is permitted in the country/countries of your choice.

What advantages does LaserTrack Flare offer as a remote control in comparison with conventional remote controls?

LaserTrack Flare is an active remote control. This means you no longer need to press a button as soon as you approach you garden gate or garage door. The gate or door transponder automatically detects the presence of your vehicle and automatically opens your gate or door after receiving the unique code.

Is the use of LaserTrack Flare as a remote control safe?

The system has more than 4 billion unique codes and in addition, LaserTrack Flare uses an extremely narrow beam of light instead of radio signals. This makes it virtually impossible for others to grab the code in order to have access to your domain.

I have several cars that I want to operate my gate and/or garage door with, using LaserTrack Flare. Is that possible?

Up to 50 cars per gate or door transponder can be programmed.

Why didn'tt you choose optical fibers as other renowned laser systems do?

Optical fibers were initially our preferred option. However, after an extensive development and testing process, in cooperation with leading optical specialists, we rejected it. The reason: the top quality and particularly the reliability that we strive for for our customers, is simply not feasible with a fiber based laser system in the car.

Optical fibers are absolutely high tech, but for this application they are only suitable in the static environment of the laboratory and not on the road. Imagine the core of a fiber as an extremely thin glass wire with a coating and a protective isolation. The ultimate diameter of the fiber itself is even less than a millimeter. Through this minimal opening all the available laser light must be transmitted. This is not a problem as long as the ultra-thin fiber is not partly or entirely polluted (clogged) by sand, mud or brine. Once the fiber gets polluted, which cannot be detected by the human eye, then little or no laser light at all is transmitted, with consequent effects!

Another disadvantage of fibers is that due to their small size, it is often difficult to check whether they are set to the right angle. In addition, when bending the fiber too far during installation there is a chance that the fiber breaks. In both cases the result is a non-functioning system.

For these reasons we have chosen the reliable all-in-one solution where transmitter and receiver are placed in one casing. With its frontal surface of only 17 x 20 mm it is the smallest in the world!

Can I also use the rear transponder, mounted in the licence plate frame, for installation at the front of my vehicle?

Yes, as long as there is sufficient space to mount a licence plate frame on the front side of your vehicle.

Does LaserTrack Flare protect me against all laser guns used in Europe?

Yes, LaserTrack Flare was successfully tested towards all laser guns that are currently being used in Europe. Should police forces start to use new laser guns, not yet being recognised by LaserTrack Flare, we ensure to make an update available through our website as soon as possible. This way you are always assured of an up-to-date system.

Does LaserTrack Flare also warn in case of speed cameras and radar control?

No, LaserTrack Flare detects exclusively its own remote control transponders and police laser guns that are used for speed enforcement.
