Despite the coronavirus and all the restrictions on daily life, the automotive industry continues to move forward. In 2021, the industry will be offering a new set of vehicles that will blow your mind featuring some genuinely mind-blowing technology.

Volvo Polestar 2
Do you remember the original Polestar? Volvo attempted to compete with the ever-popular Tesla Model S.
The vehicle didn't sell as many units as Volvo hoped, but they've gone back to the drawing board and made a raft of improvements for the Polestar 2. This new vehicle offers a pair of electric motors plus an improved battery that will zip users from zero to sixty in well under five seconds. It will also feature a 275-mile range which is nearly as far as Tesla, hopefully reducing range anxiety.

Tesla Roadster 2.0
Speaking of Tesla, the EV brand is due to release the Roadster 2.0 - an updated version of the company's original small, lightweight sports car.
The new vehicle offers truly ridiculous performance numbers. The car, Tesla says, will be able to go from zero to sixty in less than two seconds. And Tesla says that it will be able to do an eye-popping 620 miles on a single charge - that's more than most petrol vehicles!
The base cost is believed to be high, though. So you'll need to have a lot of money behind you before you get this car. If you already own a high-end vehicle, it's well worth a look.
Kia Sedona
The Kia Sedona is a little more down to Earth compared to many of the models to be released later this year. However, this minivan-like vehicle is very different from the competition. For instance, it offers a rotary transmission shifter, making travelling through the gears a breeze. It also comes with massive flexibility, fulfilling its status as a “grand utility vehicle.â€
Mercedes Benz S-Class 2021
Before Tesla came along, automotive tech enthusiasts would watch news about Mercedes Benz product development to see what the company would come up with next. The automaker has a reputation for being right at the forefront of car-related innovations.
The S-Class is very much the cream of the crop - the company's top-of-the-line model. And the 2021 version of the vehicle seems to be no exception. It comes with an augmented reality heads-up display, plus crazy four-wheel steering for better control in tight bends.
Toyota Mirai
The Toyota Mirai will hit the roads this year and will become the first hydrogen-powered car available in western markets. The vehicle will come with the company's latest storage system which the Japanese carmaker says should theoretically increase range by 30 per cent over previous generation technology.
