This kit is an excellent after-market solution and installation IS really easy for the Astra J. I too am surprised that Vauxhall do not recommend this instead of that ugly solution they do offer.

Once fitted the radio worked, however I could not program it with my Nokia Lumia 800 as the tones were not being sent over Bluetooth to change the settings, so could not get the display up. Had to send the OPX module back to Dunbar for them to use their new programming unit to set it up for me.

Sending and receiving calls is so easy, and I mounted the mic right by the steering wheel as there was a perfect little ledge for it.

Interesting idiosyncrasy with the A2DP; I can stream music and the unit picks that up, but unless the A2DP is selected on the headunit I can't control the volume. Have also found that sometimes the module loses BT connection with phone and is then left "stuck" ... still finding my feet with these "features" :-]

Fitted to Astra J SRI . Works perfectly with steering wheel controls . CD400 fitted with GID display. allowed myself around 3 hrs to fit . I have factory parking sensors and these now show up on the display graphics. Mic fitted in light cluster. Great product , enhances the vehicle . Very Good support by online chat and email if needed.

Once the radio is dash is removed easy to fit and set up, microphone has plenty of cable to enable fitting by interior lights, superb sound quality. It makes you wonder why the local Vauxhall dealerships insist that there is no alternative other than a parrot system. I am so glad I found your web site, thank you and well done.

Fitted mine with microphone up need interior light, ran wire above roof trim across drivers side, down A pillar then under steering wheel, hardest thing about fitting was removing the radio plugs :@ everything else went smoothly, works fine, audio quality for music inst brilliant but Bluetooth will never beat usb or cd quality, for calling sound is fine and no problems, using it with my iphone 5 and insignia 2012 with cd400, would recommend getting a trim removal kit to make it easier to fit, took 2 hours to fit
