ZXM500.4 - MINI 4channel Amplifier
The Phoenix Gold R&D team has been working long and hard to release the ZXM series amplifiers into the world market. These amplifiers are made to be as small as possible without compromising sound quality, power and functions. ZXM5004 is a 4 channel amplifier with total power 500W RMS. This equals to 4x80W RMS in 4 Ohm but the amplifier is stable into 2Ohm and then delivers 4x125W RMS. The 4channels can also be bridged into 2x250W RMS in 4Ohm. The amplifier comes with adjustable HP/ LP filters and also a switch to use 2ch input or 4h input low or high level. A lot work has gone into making these amps with low EMI emissions to not interfere in advanced electronics or FM signal.
The competition:
The ZXM500.1 is an impressive Class-D Mono Mini Amplifier of remarkable quality. The ZXM amplifiers are made to be as small as possible without compromising sound quality, power and functions. The ZXM500.1 is a 1-channel amplifier with 500W RMS into 1 Ohm. The power output in 2 Ohm is 360W RMS and in 4 Ohm is 230W RMS. This means it can be loaded between 4-1 Ohm with lots of power.
The new PBS boxes is made with maximum sub performance in a small format. This is not a easy task so we used some really going back to basics tricks to reach the performance goals. The boxes have two subs but one of them are a passive radiator. The radiator makes the difference with helping to extend the lower bass frequencies and help the normal sub perform much better in the closed box. We also made it down firing to make use of the extra gain you get with this kind of ”corner” loading. The box has a single 2Ohm coil to fit perfect for smaller mono blocks like the ZXM500.1 that will fit this box perfectly. So in short small box with loads of real low subwoofer performance that is missing in todays cars!
