This lovely old Mercedes S Class W220 model came to us with the dated Comand 2.5 system, the customer wanted modern features but didn't think it possible because of the shape of the old unit. The fascia panel we sourced allows the installation of a modern Double DIN Headunit. So we installed an Alpine INE-W611D, this unit provides DAB, CarPlay, Android Auto, CD/DVD and Navigation. We managed to keep the original steering wheel remote controls working with the new radio despite there not being an off-the-shelf steering control/can-bus adapter for this vehicle. Bringing this car right up to date!
