This Bluetooth Adapter is designed to work only with Pioneer "Bluetooth Adapter Ready" AV Receivers. When used with compatible Bluetooth cellular phone, hands-free operation is functional.

After setting up an individual user ID, Bluetooth wireless technology can automatically communicate between the phone and headunit whenever the two devices are within range of each other.
