FM Modulators
There are two types of FM Modulator>
Type 1. (Wired) The FM Modulator allows the sound from a multimedia system or any other audio source to be fed into the vehicles sound system via the radio tuner. The unit is housed in a steel casing with integral mounting bracket to minimise random interference.
Three frequencies are available selected via a switch to avoid interference from local radio stations with a potentiometer for fine tuning. Connection is via the radio aerial with pre-terminated connection leads. RCA sockets connections, supplied with 1.5 metre audio extension leads and power harness.
Type 2. (Wireless) The FM Modulator allows the sound from a multimedia system or any other audio source to be fed into the vehicles sound system via the radio tuner. The unit is housed in a steel casing with integral mounting bracket to minimise random interference.
Eight frequencies are available selected via a switch to avoid interference from local radio stations. Connection is via RF therefore no other connection to the radio in necessary.
IMPORTANT: When the FM Modulator is switched on it will blank out all other radio frequencies, it is important to have a switch in the supply to the FM Modulator which will switch it off when not in use. You could make it powered to only come on with the source unit or with a separate switch.
