Car Manufacturers have been installing steering wheels with controls for the OE handsfree kit for many years, however, the development of a vehicle usually takes a few years to come to market. During this time the telephone technologu advances rapidly meaning, that there are always handset compatibility issues.
Connects2 decided the best solution for this was to develope interfaces between the vehicles and an aftermarket handsfreee kit, thus bridging the gap in technology. The chosen Bluetooth handsfree kits were the Parrot range, an advanced Bluetooth kit which is upgradable for new phone models, meaning the kit doesn't need changing when the phone is upgraded.
The interfaces are designed to allow the steering wheel controlls to answer and end calls, initiate voice dialling, redial, and adjust volume. The call will mute the radio and the audio is redirected to the car speakers.
